Elizabeth Ver Hoeve, MA (she/her) is an Adult Track intern and doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology with specialization in health psychology and behavioral medicine at the University of Arizona. Her research focuses on biopsychosocial factors that impact individuals as they adjust to health-related adversity, such as cancer. Her dissertation utilized an implementation science approach to evaluate an evidence-based community-focused patient navigation intervention at an NCI-designated cancer center. Clinically, Elizabeth uses evidence-based treatment approaches including CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based interventions. She was drawn to the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health’s Clinical Psychology Doctoral Internship for its breadth of clinical training across the lifespan and its behavioral medicine electives.
