UW Health created Patient Family and Advocacy Councils (PFAC) in various departments to help promote positive change by providing a forum for the patient’s and family’s voices to be heard and understood. PFAC Psychiatry was launched in 2014 as a meeting where providers, managers, and patient and family advocates come together to discuss how to improve services at the Wisconsin Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (WisPIC). UW Health and the Department of Psychiatry work together to meet with patients to discuss ways to improve services, make the environment more comfortable, and enhance training processes.
PFAC Psychiatry is recruiting on an ongoing basis! If you are a patient or family member involved with care at WisPIC, please visit the UW Health Psychiatry Patient Family Advocacy Council website for more information or to apply.
