Shiri Raphaely, MD
PGY2- Public Health Track
Medical School: University of Washington School of Medicine
Speaking four languages and with extensive experience in community outreach both domestically and abroad, Shiri has a deep commitment to service. She has been honored with the University of Washington Medical School Service Award and Gold Humanism award in recognition of her work for others. This commitment flows out of a genuine appreciation for the value of relationship, even in the face of entrenched division. In her personal statement she eloquently wrote, “as a Jewish American working at a Palestinian human rights organization, I was able to… witness the distinct experiences of suffering, loss, and triumph overlapping in the region.” When Shiri is not expressing moving sentiments such as these, she can be found doing improv, cooking Israeli food for friends, and swimming in various bodies of water.
