Cesar shares that his interest in psychiatry started with Psychology 101. He earned bachelor’s degrees in general psychology and biological sciences from the University of Illinois Chicago and then attended medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine-Rockford. He’s been a member of their urban health program, the Latino Medical Association, the Psychiatry Interest Group, and CAP Interest Group, advocated for mental health care, analyzed research studies, and volunteered with both high school and elementary school kids. He is interested in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is fluent in Spanish. Cesar enjoys weightlifting, powerlifting, soccer, boxing, and chess.
