David earned his M.D. from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.  He completed his undergraduate degree in Theology and Psychology at Creighton University.  During medical school he conducted a quality improvement project with the Department of Academic Affairs & Dr. Elizabeth Petty to evaluate the effectiveness of an undergraduate module on suicide prevention and presented his findings at the University of Wisconsin Research Forum.  He has organized and ran the MEDiC Mental Health clinic and successfully transitioned the clinic to virtual during Covid, served as a co-leader of the Psychiatry Student Interest Group, was an ambassador with the Wisconsin Medical Alumni Association, and participated in the Wisconsin Psychiatric Association.  In his free-time, he enjoys camping, hiking, reading, biking, playing piano, playing video games, and collecting Legos.
