Ji Won Kim, M.D.

Ji Won will earn her medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin. She is a member of several professional societies including the American Psychiatric Association and the Wisconsin Psychiatric Association. She is a Project Leader in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, at Medical College of WI and did research in Defining Immunological Characteristics of Kabuki Syndrome. She learned during this experience how research can directly improve patients’ lives. Ji Won worked at Student Doctor in Milwaukee at a Saturday Clinic for the Uninsured (SCU). Along with her experiences after immigrating from Korea as a teenager, these experiences have fueled her commitment to advocacy work, aiming to reduce mental health stigma and improve access to mental health care services to underserved and diverse communities.
