Carter Do, M.D.

Position title: PGY1

Carter will be earning his medical degree from Rush Medical College of Rush University Medical Center. He has worked as a Curriculum Developer at Rush Medical Center and piloted an “Innovation in Medicine” elective for first- and second-year medical students in 2020, to delve into subjects such as human-centered design, market analysis, and intellectual property. As a refugee from the Vietnam War, his mother instilled the value of family heritage and resiliency above all else. Volunteering at a local community crisis hotline, he quickly learned that a person’s mental health could be influenced by a variety of external factors that can cause harm. Carter was elected by his class at Rush Medical College to serve as a representative to deliberate on the consequences for medical students who potentially violated the Rush Medical College’s Honor Code.
