Kevin Butcher, MD

Medical School: University of Minnesota Medical School

Kevin, a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, joined us from the University of Minnesota Medical School. Prior to medical school he worked in a residential facility with individuals in psychiatric crisis. While in medical school, Kevin participated in and led organizations that promoted wellness including the Confidential Peer Assistance Program, LGBTQIA+ Symposium, and Soccer for Success. He completed his undergraduate degrees in biopsychology and clinical psychology at Augsburg University in Minneapolis, where he also played soccer. Kevin collects vinyl records and enjoys soccer, camping, hiking, games, and cultivating plants. Kevin says that his path towards psychiatry was predicted by his family ten years ago and the proof is preserved in a time capsule.
