Beril Mat

Medical School: Acibadem Mehmet Ali Aydinlar University School of Medicine

Dr. Mat earned her medical degree from Acibadem Mehmet Ali Aydinlar University School of Medicine in Istanbul, Turkey. During her time in medical school, Beril and friends founded an organization to help Syrian refugee children with their education and assessing their needs. Beril has worked in different research labs, including projects with the University of Wisconsin-Department of Psychiatry and Neurology. Working in Turkey’s largest adult psychiatry hospital, confirmed her calling in psychiatry. Beril’s hobbies include Zen meditation, Social Latin Dance, board games and organizing game nights to bring people together.
