Samuel Gazecki

Medical School: Rush Medical College of Rush University Medical Center

Samuel (Sam) will be graduating from Rush Medical College of Rush University Medical Center in May 2025. During his time at Rush, the American Psychiatric Association/Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration selected Sam for a summer scholarship for medical students that are interested in working with those in underserved communities. He has also worked with AmeriCorps where he taught mental health education to underserved communities with limited resources. Going into residency, Sam looks forward to collaboration with his community and peers and hopes to work closely with our geriatric psychiatry program. He says he appreciates “the collegial culture within psychiatry, and I am excited about the prospect of continuing to grow within this dynamic and supportive community”. In his spare time, Sam plays basketball and loves exploring hidden gem restaurants in his neighborhood!
