Ahmad El-Afandi, M.D.

Ahmad (AH-mid) earned his M.D. from the University of Minnesota Medical School. Prior to that, he earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from UW – Madison. He has always had an interest in the intersection between psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, and the humanistic aspect of psychiatry. He has done research studying the anticipatory and consummatory interpersonal pleasure experienced by patients with schizophrenia, autism, and academic psychiatry. In his free time, Ahmad is a fan of heavy metal, concerts, playing guitar, hiking, and playing video games.
