Welcome to the Abercrombie Lab!

We are an affective neuroendocrinology laboratory located at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. We incorporate methods from psychoneuroendocrinology, neuroimaging, and electrophysiology to study the biology of stress, emotion, cognition, and affective disorders. We are primarily centered in the UW Department of Psychiatry at the UW Psychiatric Institute and Clinics; however, we also collect data at the Waisman Laboratory for Brain Imaging and Behavior.

On our website you will find detailed information about our director, Dr. Heather C. Abercrombie, our lab members, our research and publications, and various opportunities for involvement in our lab.  Please be sure to check our links page for other potential websites of interest as well.

If you would like to volunteer for one of our studies, click here to learn more.
