The focus of this study was to investigate how stress hormones and early life experiences contribute to depression in women. The study was led by Dr. Heather Abercrombie in the University of Wisconsin Department of Psychiatry. During a 2.5 year data collection period, we enrolled a number of women with and without depression, some of whom experienced significant adverse childhood events.
