Quan Ta, MD


Medical School: Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine

Dr. Quan “Coki” Ta is from Los Alamitos, CA. He studied Computational and Systems Biology at the University of California, Los Angelos as an undergraduate (graduating Magna Cum Laude) and then went to medical school at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.  He first aided people suffering from mental illness as a Resident Assistant. As a medical student, he volunteered in a “buddy program” pairing students with patients with Alzheimer’s disease, led an “alternative spring break” wherein students helped build houses on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in South Dakota, and was President of the Jugulars, a juggling group that entertained and taught children at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He enjoys going to the monthly Moth Story slam in Madison and his hobbies include concert-going, board games, improv comedy, video games, storytelling, and swing dancing.
