Dr. Israel Labao is from Oak Brook, IL. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earning a B.S. in Psychology and Spanish (he is fluent).  He then went on to earn an MPH from Yale University, where in his MPH project he examined effective approaches in healthcare leadership.  He’s received numerous awards including an American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry Honors Scholar, the U.S. Public Health Service Excellence in Public Health Award, and the Gold Humanism Honor award, among others. In Madison, he enjoys exploring the coffee shop scene while reading an interesting article or book. His hobbies are high intensity interval circuit training, healthy eating, international travel, historical trends and maps, and Latin music.
