Dr. Israel Labao is from Oak Brook, IL. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earning a B.S. in Psychology and Spanish (he is fluent).  He then went on to earn an MPH from Yale University, where in his MPH project he examined effective approaches in healthcare leadership.  He’s received numerous awards including an American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry award, Honors Scholar U.S. Public Health Service, USPHS Excellence in Public Health Award Yale School of Medicine, among others. In Madison, he enjoys exploring the coffee shop scene while reading a good article or book. His hobbies are appreciation and discussion of car related topics, high interval circuit training, eating healthy, international traveling, historical trends and maps, and Latin music.
