Charlie hails from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO where he was selected as a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. A musician, he attributes his first interest in the brain to Oliver Sacks’ book Musicophilia: Tales of Music and the Brain.  He is interested in child and adolescent and academic psychiatry and participated in pediatrics interest group, developmental pediatrics interest group, PEERS program with middle and high school students, Tar Wars to teach the dangers of smoking, and conducted research on the Positive Parenting Program at Cardinal Glennon Childrens’ Hospital. Charlie was a drummer in the medical student band, plays guitar and piano, enjoys concerts and live music, snowboarding, longboarding, cartoons, and political advocacy.
