Medical School: University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Medicine and Public Health


Christina wrote in her personal statement about learning about psychiatry while playing Spades and Rummy.  As an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin Madison, Christina spent her weekends and breaks volunteering on the inpatient psychiatry unit.  As a medical student at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Christina created a student organization that facilitated meetings for students with disabilities and chronic illnesses, worked on the Stop Heroin Now website, and participated in several volunteer experiences. She has a certificate of additional training in sports psychiatry and completed a medical Spanish elective to learn vocabulary for physical exams and clinical histories. Christina enjoys traveling in South America, backpacking in the Porcupine Mountains, reading Russian literature, and paddle boarding in the Northwoods.
