Megan graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, MN. An avid health and fitness enthusiast, she’s taught high intensity fitness, cycling classes, and also been a personal trainer. She’s used her enthusiasm and undergraduate degree in nutrition science to lead four-week nutrition plans including writing, developing, styling, and photographing 25 to 50 vegan and/ or paleo recipes per meal. She writes about choosing psychiatry, “Working in fitness confirmed my love for learning peoples’ stories and collaborating with them on their health. It has also strengthened my natural ability to form trusting relationships, and fed my curiosity about the ways diet and exercise interact with mental health.” In addition to health and fitness activities, Megan enjoys coffee, traveling, hiking, backpacking, and camping.
