DESCRIPTION:Psychotherapeutic Management of PTSD \nLacey Schmidt\, PsyD \nLocation:\n4th Floor Conference Room\nUW Behavioral Health & Recovery\n1102 South Park Street\nMadison\, WI 53715 \n\nAbout the Speaker: \nLacey Schmidt received her BS in Psychology and BA in Criminal Justice from Boise State University and her Psy.D. from Pacific University. She completed her internship and postdoc hours at the Wisconsin Department of Corrections conducting assessment and mental health treatment to male and female inmates. Before starting with UW Health Behavioral Health in 2016 she worked in a residential PTSD program at the VA for 2 years. Over the past 3 years at UW Health she has been providing individual therapy to patients with a wide range of mental health concerns and has facilitated a Coping with Trauma group and Cognitive Processing Therapy group. \nhttps://www.uwhealth.org/findadoctor/profile/lacey-n-schmidt-psyd/10316 \n\nAbout the Series: \nThe Educational Conference series is a series of lectures designed to provide clinically useful information to the practicing psychiatrist (faculty or trainee).  Every 1 to 2 months an intra- or extra-departmental speaker is invited to speak on a topic of interest selected by current faculty.  This educational series is open to the public and anyone is welcome to attend.  Continue Medical Education units (CME’s) are available to eligible attendees.
