She is the Medical Director of Patient Safety for UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital (WPH) and is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry for the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Amin is passionate about safety\, quality\, and well-being and served as the first Chief Resident for Well-Being at UPMC WPH. She has also been an active member of the Critical Incident Stress Management ASAP Staff Support team at UPMC WPH and a volunteer and trainer for UPMC’s Physicians for Physicians\, a peer support program for physicians following adverse events. \n  \n\nAbout the Series: \nThe Educational Conference series is a series of lectures designed to provide clinically useful information to the practicing psychiatrist (faculty or trainee).  Every 1 to 2 months an intra- or extra-departmental speaker is invited to speak on a topic of interest selected by current faculty.  This educational series is open to the public and anyone is welcome to attend.  Continue Medical Education units (CME’s) are available to eligible attendees. \n\nAccreditation Statement \nIn support of improving patient care\, the University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME)\, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)\, and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. \n  \nCredit Designation Statements \nAmerican Medical Association (AMA) \nThe University of Wisconsin–Madison ICEP designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. \nAmerican Psychological Association (APA) \nContinuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP).
