By design, the University of Wisconsin Department of Psychiatry has developed an environment where people who do very different things work next to each other and with each other at the clinical level, training level, and research level. We believe that putting folks together who all have the same goal, to reduce suffering from mental illness, but who approach the goal from very different perspectives, will lead to bold new discoveries related to the causes and potential treatments for mental health problems.
