We are also a member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science, an alliance of leading, scientifically oriented, doctoral and internship training programs in clinical and health psychology.
Our educational mission emphasizes evidence-based approaches to clinical care. Specifically, we offer training in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness approaches, and Family/Couple Therapy. Evidence-based assessment approaches include use of structured (SCID – I & II) and semi-structured clinical interviews, cognitive screening assessments (e.g., COGNISTAT, mental status examinations), objective personality assessment (e.g., MMPI, MCMI, WISPI), and a variety of self-report instruments (e.g., BDI, STAI).
Our training is integrative and patient-focused; we strive to prepare clinicians to provide quality clinical care informed by psychological clinical science.
