Lisa McGuffey, PhD

Dr. McGuffey earned her doctorate in clinical psychology with a specialization in Health Psychology from the University of Miami. After completing a predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Wisconsin, she established the program for the provision of psychological services in the HIV Clinic at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. She joined the UW Psychiatry Department as a health psychologist in the Cancer Psychology Service at the Carbone Cancer Center and as a generalist at the Wisconsin Psychiatric Institute & Clinic. Her clinical interests include adjustment to illness, finding meaning, and positive growth.
